iEARN Jordan Conducts Workshop and Mentoring Sessions

iEARN-Jordan conducted a first face-to-face BRIDGE Program workshop on April 21st, 2016 in Amman. Ten teachers participated in the workshop to learn about the new program and global, project-based learning with iEARN. Some of the teachers are taking the BRIDGE online course and while other teachers who have current projects and would like to get their students engaged in global, meaningful virtual exchange projects experience.

The teachers were handed three resources in Arabic, namely, BUCK Institute Project-Based Learning Handbook for Middle and High School Teachers (on CD), CSYN Teachers’ Guide to Online Collaboration and Global Projects, all the templates and assessment tools included in BUCK Institute PBL Guide (in print), and the iEARN Project Book for 2015-2016. These resources are meant to give insights and well designed steps to be engaged in iEARN online global collaborative projects.

The following week two mentoring sessions were conducted with teachers on April 24th and 25th, 2016 with sixteen teachers. More mentoring session will be conducted in May 2016 to support teachers and have them prepare for next school year for well defined steps to be engaged in online project exchange
